Range Rover has unveiled its inaugural fully electric SUV in the United Kingdom, with a starting price of £154,070. Customers can now place their orders, with the first batch of deliveries anticipated in 2027. This launch signifies a pivotal move for Jaguar Land Rover as it progresses toward electrification, with the Range Rover Electric being assembled at the company’s Solihull facility.
Equipped with dual electric motors, the luxury SUV boasts an impressive output of up to 550PS and 850Nm of torque. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60mph in just 4.3 seconds and offers an estimated range of up to 372 miles according to the WLTP testing standards. The vehicle’s 118.5kWh battery is compatible with 800-volt charging technology, enabling rapid charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes when conditions are optimal.
The design of the Range Rover Electric maintains the brand’s hallmark luxury and off-road prowess while integrating an electric powertrain and enhanced aerodynamic elements. Notably, it retains the capability to traverse water up to 900mm deep, ensuring it remains a versatile choice for various terrains.
